The Arizona Senate liaison for the Maricopa County 2020 general election audit has announced his plans to "step down" after previously floating the possibility due to being barred from the recount facility.
"I'm going to step down as the liaison today, I'll issue a statement later for the press," former Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett said on 550 KFYI radio on Wednesday morning.
Bennett was blocked from entering the recount facility on Friday after he spoke to contacts outside of the audit team about preliminary results from the third recount of ballots cast in the November election.
