On Monday, anchor-turned-divisive cohost Don Lemon was fired by CNN after nearly two decades with the network. Lemon's departure was celebrated by many in conservative circles, and even garnered the attention of the former president.
Upon hearing the news, Donald Trump called Lemon "the dumbest man on television," questioning how he managed to remain on the network for as long as he had.
"Good News," Trump said on Truth Social. "'The dumbest man on television,' Don Lemon, has finally been fired from Fake News CNN. My only question is, WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG?"
