U.S. flags were lowered to half-staff in honor of the service members killed after suicide bombers hit Kabul. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said U.S. flags across the country would be lowered to half-staff as a mark of respect on Thursday, where they would remain until Monday night.
Psaki went on to announce, “The United States flag will be flown at half-staff at the White House, upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, all naval vessels of the federal government in the District of Columbia, and throughout the United States and its territories.”
